TEAM MANAGMENT AND ORGANIZATION

Head Coach:
The Head Coach will oversee the alignment of middle school and high school programs, and ensure that the teams have the proper equipment and space for practice and for games. The head coach will be in charge of the roster. Assigning starters and substitutes. The head coach will also assign who makes the team and who does not. Additional responsibilities will be leading practice, leading meetings, scheduling games, and organizing team activities. The Head Coach will also be available for any problems or concerns from any parents, athletes, or staff.

Offensive Coordinator:
The offensive coordinator will lead offensive drills we run in practice and will assist with calling and the selection of plays the offense runs.
Defensive Coordinator:
The defensive coordinator will lead defensive drills we run in practice and will assist with calling the defensive formations the defense runs.
Strength and Conditioning Coordinator:
Will be in charge of running pre-season, in-season, and off-season workouts. The SC will assist with developing player workouts. The weight trainer will also be in charge of the athlete’s training routine on an individual level.
Assistant Coach:
Will assist the head coach with the running of the practice and with game preparation. The Assistant coach will also be in charge of the basketball team’s equipment and one of our lower level team.

Student Manager:
Will assist the coaching staff with practice management and games. Manage inventory, set up and break down equipment, film practice and games, and help out in drills.
Captain:
He is the leader of the team. His primary responsibility is to communicate to the Head Coach, the common feelings of the team and when possible, resolves issues within the team. In addition, he must be an example for his teammates in terms of respect during matches and communicate with the referees during matches.

Players:
They are responsible for coming to every practice and game. Players are to represent THE WAY and have a me for us attitude of using their unique strength for the benefit of the team.
Parents:
They are encouraged to organize meals for the team after home games and practices to help improve team spirit. In addition, they are encouraged to come to the meetings scheduled by the coaches.
They should:

Help your student-athlete to understand that the team comes before the individual

Encourage your student-athlete to know and understand game rules as well as team rules

Encourage your student-athlete to communicate appropriately and respectfully with the coach.
